Enjoy Amazing Africa

The Republic of Botswana is bordered by South Africa, Namibia, and Zimbabwe and in the north with Zambia.

It was formerly a British protectorate of Bechuanaland. Botswana adopted its new name after becoming independent within the commonwealth on 30 September 1966.

The economy of Botswana is closely tied to the economy of South Africa. Botswana’s climate is semi-arid. Though it is hot and dry for much of the year, there is a rainy season, which runs though the summer months although the rainfall is unpredictable.

Botswana is mostly dessert, except the north is green and wet because of the rivers that flow through this area. Here you find the Okavango Delta with its beautiful flora and fauna and Moremi National Park that borders the Okavango. North of the delta you find Chobe National Park where most of the wild animals and game are found.

The best way to explore Botswana is either by a 4x4 or scenic flight. With these modes of transportation, it will give you an opportunity to experience the variety and beauty of the breathtaking nature at its utmost best.

It is perfect to combine a visit to Botswana with the Victoria Falls in the neighbouring country Zimbabwe or the beautiful Namibia, borders west Botswana. Due to the harmonious atmosphere between the human beings and nature, Botswana is a special place indeed.
